Me studying for law school finals is going to be the best thing that has ever happened to this blog. Seriously, I am finding the craziest crap in my internet-fueled procrastination. Take, for example,
Muffin Films. The back story is, in 2000, a woman named Amy Winfrey made 12 short films starring and about muffins for her MFA thesis project at the UCLA Animation Workshop. Then, last year, she made six more to celebrate the ten-year anniversary. I can't quite put my finger on what, but there is something inexplicably hilarious about these animated muffin shorts. They're sort of reminiscent of
Marcel the Shell. I tend to like quirky things like that, so I guess that's why I like these...
Mini Muffins is definitely my fave.
The fact that I love this one may have something to do with
this (fast forward to 0:50)...
The Muffin Tree is a close second.
